Moses and the Gospel of Life

Deuteronomy is more than a book of laws and warnings, it is a book about life. The Hebrew word ḥayah (“life”) runs through its pages, pointing to physical life, the good life of covenant blessing, and ultimately the promise of everlasting life beyond exile and death.
