Legends of the Lost Ark

Join Compass Bible Institute for a private screening of Legends of the Lost Ark, a docudrama on one of the Bible's great unsolved mysteries: what happened to the Ark of the Covenant? The film's host, archaeologist and friend of CBI Dr. Chris McKinny, will be with us in person. Dinner from Cafe Rio is provided, and the event is free to attend.
What is Legends of the Lost Ark?
It's a docudrama that uses cinematic reenactments and expert interviews to explore three of the most research-supported legends about the Ark's final resting place. Guided by scientists, archaeologists, biblical scholars, and historians, the film traces the Ark's biblical significance from its creation to its disappearance, and its meaning for both ancient Israel and the modern world.
Who is Dr. Chris McKinny?
Dr. McKinny is an associate professor of archaeology at the Lanier Center for Archaeology at Lipscomb University in Nashville and a senior staff member of the Tel Burna Archaeological Project in Israel. He earned his PhD from Bar-Ilan University and served as the guiding scholar throughout the film. He has also taught CBI's Land of the Bible course, and we are glad to welcome him back to Compass for this screening.
