Four CBI Students Earn the Master of Divinity from Southern Seminary

Compass Bible Institute is thankful to celebrate four students who have earned their Master of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary: Roi Brody, Elvis Illescas, Drew O'Connell, and Nathan Yovichin. All four crossed the stage this spring in Louisville, marking the completion of one of the most demanding degrees in theological education.

The Master of Divinity is the standard preparation for pastoral ministry, and it represents years of concentrated study in Scripture, theology, biblical languages, church history, and practical ministry. For these men, the road ran through Compass Bible Institute first. The training they received here laid a foundation that carried into their seminary work, and our partnership with Southern gave them a clear path to continue that education at one of the leading seminaries in the world. That same path remains open to current students. CBI credits transfer both to Boyce College, the undergraduate school of Southern Seminary, and to The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary itself, giving students a genuine on-ramp whether they are beginning undergraduate study or preparing for graduate work.

We are especially grateful for Dr. Albert Mohler, his team, and their continued friendship with CBI. More than that, we are grateful to God for what he has done in the lives of these four men. Please join us in praying for Roi, Elvis, Drew, and Nathan as they take what they have learned into a lifetime of faithful service to Christ and his church.
